Hotel Es Saadi

Tichka Salam

Located on the Casablanca road, a 15minute taxi ride from the medina, the hotel does boast the best pool in town, two restaurants and a bar with interiors by Bill Willis verging on the ridiculous. Fun, though remote. Route de Casablanca, Semlalia • 0524 44 87 10 •

Ibis Moussafir

A modern, clean hotel, it is close to Marrakech’s train station on the western edge of Guéliz. It may be a 10minute taxi ride from the medina but it does offer good value for money. Ave Hassan II, Place de la gare • 0524 43 59 29 • •

Hivernage Hotel and Spa
